Didn’t get enough bbq during BBQ on the River. There’s another chance to fill your tank just down the road in Kuttawa. BBQ on Barkley is slated for October 1 on the beach area of beautiful Lake Barkley. There’ll be barbeque, of course, but there’s also a concert featuring country’s Jamie O’Neal at 7 p.m., a 5K run, face painting, pie eating contest and old fashioned sack races. Don’t miss this day of fun on the lake.
Hunter’s Moon Festival

The Hunter’s Moon Festival is a celebration of small town life with events for all ages. Crafts and vendors, along with Taste of The Lakes will get underway at 9:00 a.m. in Little Lake Park. There will also be children’s activities including the Zoofari Earth Animal Show at 11:15. Potter’s Clay Singers will take the stage at noon, followed by the Night Moves Dance Group at 5:00 p.m. and Classic Waxx at 7:00 p.m.
Aurora Country Festival

Good country fun for all. The parade starts on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the circle inside the Kenlake State Park on Highway, 68E and runs through downtown Aurora 68 W to the Aurora Ross Fire Station. The festival will also include an antique care show at the Masonic Lodge, a flea market at the Kenlake music stage and the Aurora Visitor’s Center. There are also a number of vendors who will be set up along Highway 68. Don’t miss the fun at this annual fall tradition in beautiful Aurora, Kentucky.
Trigg County Country Ham Festival

2011 marks the 35th year of celebrating the country ham in Cadiz, Ky. Come see and taste Kentucky’s largest country ham biscuit, listen to the hog calling contest, stroll through the quilt show and attend the Country Ham Jam. You can even take a camel ride or take in the pig races. There are even carnival rides for kids of all ages. Don’t miss all the fun at one of Kentucky’s most well known fall festivals.
