Mr. William “Bill” M. Orlowski, 70, of Benton, died Friday, August 26, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Orlowski retired after 28 years as an Ordnance Officer with the Illinois State Police.He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Briensburg Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda S. Orlowski of Benton, two sons, William “Mark” Orlowski of Medina, Ohio, Michael T. Orlowski of Villa Park, Ill., two grandchildren, Madison Nichole Orlowski and Matthew John Orlowski, both of Villa Park, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew John Orlowski and Edna Genevive (Bonucchi) Orlowski; one granddaughter, Brittney Faye Orlowski.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 1, in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Bill Lawson officiated.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
