Mr. Smith died July 20 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. He served during the Korean War, was a retired carpenter with local 395 and preached for 36 years.
He was the son of the late Elza Ray Smith and Hattie Ferguson Smith
He is survived by wife Trudy Smith; three sons, Kevin Smith, of Murray, Karl Smith, of Murray, Greg Smith, of Grahamville; two sisters, Wanda Coursey Lambert, of Calvert City, and Sharron Dunigan, of Calvert City; three brothers, Charles Pete Smith, of Calvert City, Lonnie Smith, of Calvert City, and Donald (Painter) Smith, of Benton; and nine grandchildren.
