competes in Indoor
Invitational

MURRAY– Marshall County’s boys and girls track teams participated in its first event of the track season in the West Region Indoor Invitational at the Regional Special Events Center on the campus of Murray State.

The girl’s team tied for third place with Muhlenberg County out of 14 teams present and the boy’s squad came in sixth out of 12 teams.

Best finishes at the meet for the girls came in the 55 meter hurdles. Brittany Martin took first place in that event followed by teammate Lauren Miller who came in second place. Miller also took second in the 400 meter dash while Maria Bone finished in third in the Shot Put event.

For the boys, Sam Devore took first place honors in the 55 meter hurdles. Doug Reed placed fourth in the high jump and Brandon Davis took 5th in the 400 meter dash.
