Junior Legion team sweeps CFS Thursday

for Post 236

MARSHALL COUNTY In their double-header with CFS Thursday, the Tri-County Junior Legion team took both games from the CFS squad.
Dylan Givens was the winning pitcher in their 10-0 win in the first game. Drew Schmitt was two for two at the plate with two walks in his four appearances at the plate for Post 236 followed by Givens and Dallas Love who were both two for one in hits with one walk each. John Locke was on the mound for CFS in the loss.
McCall Overstreet was the winning pitcher for Post 236 in the second game of the double header beating the CFS Squad 19-1. Eric Teodozow took the loss for CFS. Tyler McManus, Jacob Rodgers and Wesley Foster were all perfect from the plate for Post 236.
Givens and Overstreet both pitched no-hitters in the double-header wins over CFS.
On Wednesday before the double header wins, Post 236 beat Mayfield Post 26 10-8. The preceding week they suffered three losses to the Southern Illinois Sundogs, Hustler and Paducah Post 31.
The Tri-County Post 236 Junior Legion team will play host to Paducah Post 31 tomorrow at Mike Miller Park at 6 p.m.
