Marshall County swims in gold at Fort Knox

Fort knox– The Fort Knox Army Post was the site for the Meade County Greenwave Invitational swim meet Saturday.
MCHS had 24 top five individual and relay team finishes at the meet.
Sydney Beckett and Josh Gordon were the only two swimmers to finish first in their races. Beckett placed first in the 200 yard freestyle and Gordon’s first place finish came in the 100 yard freestyle.
Several swimmers placed second in their events including Gordon in the 50 yard freestyle, Beckett in the 100 yard freestyle, Sarah Telle in the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard backstroke, Carli Merrick in the 500 yard freestyle and the girl’s 400 yard relay team.
The swim team will now have two weeks to prepare for their Regional swim meet which will be held on February 5th and 6th in Owensboro.
