win over Caldwell

Princeton The Lady Marshals never relinquished the lead at Caldwell County last week, but had to rally late for their fourth win of the season. The Lady Tigers were able to tie the contest four times as Marshall County held on to the lead late for a 45-40 win.
The two teams remained close in the first half before Marshall pulled away early in the third quarter. The Lady Tigers would rally to tie the game 33-all heading into the final frame.
Four straight points by Caldwell’s Savannah Pepper would tie the game for the final time at 39-39. Marshall County outscored their hosts 6-1 over the final few minutes to secure the win and move to 4-1 on the season.
Kaylin Goins led Marshall’s scoring with 14 points. Margaret Thomas had 13 and Lena Bohannon 10.
