Evelyn Barnes
Services for Evelyn M. Barnes, 94, of Calvert City, were held on Wednesday, March 3 at Collier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Roger Rice officiated, followed by burial in Calvert City Cemetery.
Ms. Barnes died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Calvert City Convalescent Center. She was a homemaker and member of Altona Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Ross of Murray; one son-in-law, Robert Weyer of Calvert City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earven Barnes; one daughter, Glenda Weyer; grandson, Jeffrey Ross; three brothers, Earl, Allen and Loyd Russelll; and four sisters, Ora Seibert, Pearl Watkins, Susie Smith and Ollie Stevenson.
Her parents were Tom and Viola Russell.
Donald Carter
Donald W. Carter, 65, of Benton, died at 1:55 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Georgia Carter of Benton; four daughters, Shelley Carter of Sikeston, Mo., Sherry Dillon of Harrison, Ark., Sharon Decco of Branson, Mo. and LaDonna Stevenson of Wingo; two sisters, Lucy Irby and Geraldine Willis, both of East Prairie, Mo.; three brothers, Charles Carter of Nashville, Ark., Steven Carter of Bertrand, Mo. and Wesley Carter of Sikeston, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one granddaughter.
His parents were Elizie and Ethel Carter.
James Freeman
Services for James Freeman, 79, of Paducah, were held on Monday, March 8 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
The Rev. Johnny Sams officiated, followed by burial in Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Mr. Freeman died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital. He was a native of Marshall County, member of Heartland Worship Center and a self-employed concrete finisher and farmer.
He is survived by one daughter, Beth Wilson of Paducah; two sons, Terry Freeman of Benton and Ronald Freeman of Coldwater; one brother, Harrell Freeman of Calvert City; six grandchidren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Yvette Freeman; and one brother.
His parents were William and Gladys Freeman.

Mildred Clark
Graveside services for Mildred Clark, 96, were held on Monday, March 8 at Provine Cemetery.
The Rev. Alan Miller officiated.
Ms. Clark died on Friday, March 5, 2010, at Britthaven of Benton. She was a beautician, former owner of Benton Beauty Shop and member of First Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by one step-son, Joe Clark of Akron, Ohio; nieces, Cassy Thompson of Benton, Denita Weber of Poolsville, Md. and Janet Nall of Murray; and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Clark; brother, Joe Nall; sister, Mary Williams; and nephew, Dale Williams.
Her parents were Isaac and Mayme Clark.
Lonnie Arnett
Services for Lonnie Bert Arnett, 70, of Golo, were held on Tuesday, March 9 at Byrn Chapel.
The Rev. Duane Fields officiated, followed by burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Arnett died on Friday, March 5, 2010, at his residence. He was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church and a retiree of the Kentucky State Highway Department.
He is survived by two sons, Greg Arnett of Kevil and Gary Arnett of Golo; one brother, James Arnett of Benton; one sister, Polly Kaler of Mayfield; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Arnett; one brother, Billy Arnett; and two sisters, Ethel Haley and Linda Sue Smith.
His parents were Bert and Opal Arnett.
Varonica Miller
Graveside services for Varonica Ann Miller, 53, of Benton, were held on Saturday, March 6 at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
The Rev. Don Wilson officiated.
Ms. Miller died at 7:18 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Marshall County Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a 14-year employee of the Marshall County Fiscal Court.
She is survived by one daughter, Alex Early of Murray; one sister, Tracy Kleyer of Allen, Texas; one granddaughter, Addyson Early of Murray; two nieces and one nephew.
Her parents are Harold and Anna Lou Miller of Benton.

Delma Partain
Services for Delma Imogene Partain, 82, of Gilbertsville, were held on Saturday, March 6 at Collier Funeral Home.
Dr. J.T. Parrish officiated, followed by burial in Good Hope Cemetery.
Ms. Partain died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Calvert City Convalescent Center. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Fellowship Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Lora Wagers of Paducah; two sons, Thomas Partain of Gilbertsville and Johnny Partain of Orange Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Partain; two twin daughters, Sharon and Karen Partain; one brother, Lawrence Rose; and two sisters, Wilma Fowler and Juanita Fletcher.
Her parents were William and Mabel Rose.
Cindy Tart
Services for Cindy Renee Tart, 45, of Gilbertsville, were held on Saturday, March 6 at Trinity Baptist Church.
Kenneth Brown officiated.
Ms. Tart died on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Paducah.
She is survived by her mother, Elnora Harris of Mayfield; husband, Doyle Tart of Gilbertsville; one daughter, Chasity Lemmons of Mayfield; two sisters, Terrie Dale of Caruthersville, Mo. and Kathy McGuire of Louisville; and two brothers, Timothy Scott of Mayfield and Jason Harris of Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lemmons.
Ruth Creason
Services for Ruth Evelyn Creason, 91, of Benton, were held on Friday, March 5 at Collier Funeral Home.
Richard Dowdy officiated, followed by burial in Brewers Cemetery.
Ms. Creason died on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Calvert City Convalescent Center. She was a life-long resident of the Brewers community, member of the Brewers United Methodist Church, Brewers Homemaker Club and a long-time Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Travis and Sue Conner, both of Benton; nine grandchildren, Mallory Conner, Amie Belcher, Brad Conner, Troy Conner, Martin Conner, Laurinda Lamb, Rickie Jones, Steve Burnett and Chris Travis; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Creason; one daughter, June Burnett; one sister, Linda Perry; one brother, Bill Perry; and one great-grandson, Cory Conner.
Her parents were Hal and Ila Perry.

Paula Marani
Services for Paula “MoMo” Hughlet Marani, 63, of Benton, were held on Thursday, March 4 a Collier Funeral Home.
Kenneth Starks and Daria Koym officiated, followed by burial in Haymes Cemetery.
Ms. Marani died on Sunday, Feb. 28. 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital. She was a retired nurse and member of Hardin Church of Christ.
She is survived by her father, Hugh Henson of Benton; one daughter, Tonita McLeod of Benton; one son, Santino Marani of Benton; one brother, Neal Henson of Melvindale, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Henson; one brother, Kenneth Henson; and one grandchild.
Susan Crouch
Services for Susan Lee Crouch, 54, of Calvert City, were held on Wednesday, March 3 at Collier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Roy Brown officiated.
Ms. Crouch died on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, VFW Post No. 5739, the Operators Local No. 181 and employed as a construction operator.
She is survived by her mother, Melissa Crouch of Calvert City; two daughters, Holli Shelton of Benton and Melissa Henson of Calvert City; one sister, Karen Carter of Calvert City; one brother, Jim Crouch of Gilbertsville; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Crouch.

Susan Mathis
Services for Susan Renee Mathis, 50, of Hardin, were held on Friday, March 5 at Collier Funeral Home.
Daniel Walker officiated, followed by burial in Olive Methodist Cemetery.
Ms. Mathis died on Monday, March 1, 2010, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. She was a member of the Hardin Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Mathis of Hardin; and one brother, Keith Watkins of Hardin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Errol and Lyda Watkins.

Larry Bristow
Services for Larry Dale Bristow, 29, formerly of Marshall County, were held on Friday, March 5 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
The Rev. Jim Glover officiated, followed by burial in Fooks Cemetery.
Mr. Bristow died on Monday, March 1, 2010, in Evansville, Ind. from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a member of the Salt and Light Community Church, a graduate of Marshall County High School and ITT Technical Institute and a mechanical draftsman.
He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Bristow of Paducah; father, Larry Bristow of Possum Trot; grandparents, Rollie and Velva Bristow of Possum Trot, Ralph and Pat Byars of Hickory and Ken and Linda Stockbridge of Pasadena, Calif.; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mickey Bristow.

Helen Johnson
Helen Johnson, 87, of Calvert City, died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Ms. Johnson is survived by one son, Ted Chaplin of Tustin, Calif.; three nieces, Joan Lappin of Calvert City, Sandra Walker of Hyden and Dianna Peale of Panama City, Fla.; and one nephew, Robert Johnson of Sharpe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Warren Johnson.
Her parents were Frank and Anne Furman.
