Russell Mueller
Memorial services for Russell V. Mueller, 92, formerly of Kentucky, will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at Lakeland Wesley Village.
Mr. Mueller died on July 18, 2010, in Houston, Texas. He was a Kentucky Colonel, worked in the sheet metal industry and operated College Hill Camera and Card Shop in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is survived by one son, Donald Mueller; step-son, Donald Whitis; step-brother, Clifford Webster; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Mueller; second wife, Louise; and one brother, Edward Mueller.
His parents were Edward and Mattie Mueller.

Norma Bridgeman
Services for Norma Helen Bridgeman, 83, of Benton, were held on Monday, July 19 at Collier Funeral Home.
Don Wilson and Mark Doom officiated, followed by burial in Oakridge Cemetery in Kennett, Mo.
Ms. Bridgeman died on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at her daughters residence in Paducah. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by two daughters, Elisa Alexander of Paducah and Lois Thomas of Nicholasville; one brother, William Barnes of Springfield, Ill.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bridgeman; two brothers, Glen and Oval Barnes; and three sisters, Mabel Scallorns, Neva Elder and Louis Tucker.
Her parents were Luther and Minnie Barnes.

Loreto Scicluna
Services for Lereto Francis “Cecil” Scicluna, 63, of Benton, were held on Saturday, July 24 at St. William Catholic Church in Walled Lake, Mich.
The Rev. Michael Savickas officiated.
Mr. Scicluna died on Friday, June 25, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital. He was a member of the St. William Catholic Church in Walled Lake, Mich. and owner of Star Auto Repair in Sharpe.
He is survived by his wife, Dan Scicluna of Benton; two daughters, Rachael Fonda of Michigan and Tiffany Scicluna of Benton; three sons, Christopher and Jack Scicluna, both of Michigan, and Jonathan Scicluna of Benton; two brothers, Charlie Scicluna of Fgura, Malta and Joe Scicluna of Ghajnsielem, Gozo; seven sisters, Helen Zammit of Zejtun, Malta, Imelda Sultana of Gzira, Malta, Adelina Zerafa, Ismeria Sciberras and Mary Scicluna, all of Ghajnsielem, Gozo, Antoinette Sultana of Rabat, Gozo and Agatha Gauci of Austrailia; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Scicluna.
His parents were Jack and Rita Scicluna.

Attis Gordon
Services for Attis Johnnie James Gordon, 93, of Ledbetter, were held on Friday, July 23 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
The Rev. Glenn Cope officiated, followed by burial in Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Ms. Gordon died on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital. She was the oldest member of Hamlet Baptist Church in Benton, worked as a school teacher and was a former employee of the Klaussner Hosiery Conolco in Benton.
She is survived by three daughters, Bobbie Morrison of Reidland, Hilda Ibana of Jacksonville, Fla. and Christine Austin of Lone Oak; two sons, Ronnie James of Lone Oak and Donnie James of Reidland; two sisters, Birdie Jenkins of Benton and twin sister, Gladys Smith of High Point, N.C.; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William James; second husband, Charles Gordon; three sisters and two brothers.
Her parents were James and Sarah Welch.

Bill Hulen
Services for Billy West Hulen, 76, of Paducah, were held on Thursday, July 22 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
Dr. Todd Brady and the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiated, followed by burial in Benton City Cemetery.
Mr. Hulen died on Monday, July 19, 2010. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Division, retired from Martin Marietta, taught at West Kentucky Vocational School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hulen of Paducah; one daughter, Jan Burnett of Metropolis, Ill.; one son, Brian Hulen of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister Melinda Steck of Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Jim Hulen of Rockmart, Ga.; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Chumbler; infant daughter, Sarah Hulen; and one nephew, Chris Hulen.
His parents were Jamie and Carla Hulen.

Norman Crider
Services for Norman J. Crider, 82, formerly of Gilbertsville, were held on Sunday, July 25 at Boyd Funeral Directors in Salem, Ill.
Burial followed in Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Crider died on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, in Illinois. He was a carpenter foreman for Harris Bank.
He is survived by two sons, James and Christopher Crider; and three grandchildren, Karyn, Margaux and Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Crider.

Nita Henson
Services for Nita Henson, 77, of Calvert City, were held on Sunday, July 25 at Filbeck-Cann and King Funeral Home.
Bro. John Terry officiated, followed by burial in Provine Cemetery.
Ms. Henson died at 2:52 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Lakeland Baptist Temple and a waitress at Kentucky Dam Village for 27 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Duckett and Kathy Davis, both of Gilbertsville; one brother, Lawrence Harris of Calvert City; two grandchildren, Chad Watson of Hardin and Hope English of Lexington; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Rabbit Harris; and two sons-in-law, Steve Davis and Jim Duckett.
Her parents were Ira and Nellie Harris.

Cathy Haney
Cathy Haney, 47, of Hardin, died at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Lemuel Haney of Hardin; one son, Larry Haney of Michigan; four daughters, Rebecca Walker of Benton, Linda Scott, Dawn Haney and Melissa Middleton, all of Michigan; her mother, Rachel Middleton of Westland, Mich.; four sisters, Sherry Thornsbury, Jennifer Middleton, Renee Davis and Regina Bopora; three brothers, Ricky, Jeff and Ralph Middleton; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Middleton.

Tom Bouland
Services for Thomas L. Bouland, 82, of Calvert City, were held on Sunday, July 25 at Collier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mike Donald and Mitch Mathis offiiciated, followed by burial in Dees Cemetery.
Mr. Bouland died on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was a member of Pathway Baptist Church, an Eagle Scout and a retired supervisor from B.F. Goodrich.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Bouland of Calvert City; one daughter, Marilynn Majors of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Thomas Bouland of Calvert City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillie Bouland.

Hilda Lofton
Services for Hilda Mae Lofton, 92, of Benton, were held on Monday, July 26 at Collier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Rodney Wallace officiated, followed by burial in New Zion Cemetery.
Ms. Lofton died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and a line operator for the Ashby Chair Company in Benton.
She is survived by five daughters, Brenda Fleet, Janice Houser and Linda Lofton, all of Benton, Barbara Treas of Brewers and Paulette Cannon of Calvert City; two sons, Jerry Lofton of Meridian Ind. and Louis Lofton of Mayfield; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lofton; one son, Ronnie Lofton; one brother, Charles Darnall; and one sister, Magdline Houser.
Her parents were Guy and Katie Darnall.

Betty Gordon
Services for Betty Sue “Susie” Gordon, 74, of Benton, were held on Tuesday, July 27 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Benton.

Ms. Gordon died at 3:13 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Lofton of Benton; two daughters, Deanna Henderson of Princeton and Tammy Lynch of Eddyville; one step-daughter, Dianna Colson of Benton; three sons, Larry, William and John Lynch, all of Eddyville; one step-son, Mark Gordon of Parker, Colo.; three sisters, Phyllis Devers and Charlotte Drennan, both of Benton, and Mary Fraliex of Fredonia; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one step-son, Ronald Gordon; and three brothers, Preston, Lacy and Bobby Holloman.
Her parents were Lacy and Victoria Holloman.

Patsy Galloway

Ms. Galloway died at 4:37 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2010, at her residence. She was retired from the Marshall County School System and member of the First Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Galloway of Benton; one daughter, Kathy Thorn of Benton; one son, David Galloway of Newnan, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Johnston and Betty Cope; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Betty Neihoff
Services for Betty Carolyn Neihoff, 74, of Paducah, were held on Monday, July 26 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.

Ms. Neihoff died at 9:55 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010, at Superior Home Care. She was a member of Gospel Mission Church and had owned Industrial Sheet Metal and Neihoff Sheet Metal with her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Jewell and Carrie Childers, both of Paducah; one sister, Kathryn Mills of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother Harvey Carroll of Calvert City; two grandchildren, Kristin and Kyle Childers, both of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Neihoff; and her infant son, Joel Neihoff.
Her parents were Harvey and Mary Carroll.

Anna Starks
Services for Anna Belle Starks, 93, of Benton, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 28 at Collier Funeral Home.

Ms. Starks died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Britthaven of Benton.
She is survived by three sisters, Alberta Henson and Laura Walston, both of Benton, and Louise Jones of Calvert City; one brother, Clarence Newton of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Starks; two sisters, Leona Goodwin and Irene Ramage; and two brothers, James Newton and Albert Stokes.
Her parents were Seth and Rosa Newton.

Glen Stevens
