Dr. and Mrs. Dick Usher of Fairdealing will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Colorado. Richard H. Usher and the former Mary Elizabeth Doyal were married on June 30, 1962, at Third Baptist Church in Owensboro by the late Rev. T.L. McSwain. The late Elizabeth Warren of Guthrie and Bobby Bell of Paducah were the attendants.

Mrs. Usher is a Registered Nurse and has been employed by the University of Florida Teaching Hospital, Health Services of the universities of Northern Colorado and Murray State and Charter Hospital. She also taught childbirth and early infancy classes and has completed the Lourdes/ Western Baptist Hospital program for the Parrish Nurse Ministry. Mrs. Usher is the daughter of the late W.R. Doyal and Catherine Cundiff Doyal of Owensboro.

Mr. Usher is retired as Murray State Professor Emeritus in Educational Psychology. He taught in Owensboro city schools and the universities of northern Colorado and Murray State. He is active in the Kentucky Chautauqua program portraying Pee Wee Reese. Mr. Usher is the son of the late William H. Usher and Laverne Lents Usher of Paducah.

The couple has one daughter, Letitia Diane Usher.
