He was a member of the Church Grove United Methodist Church in Benton, and attended the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Benton. He was a retired chemical operator from Pittsburg Metallurgical Company in Calvert City.
He is survived by one daughter, Joquita Brewer of Benton, and one son, Rickey Houser of Benton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Nell Henson of Benton, and Lou Jean Parrish of Alma, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Nell Houser; one grandson, Scotty Joe Brewer; three brothers, Clifford Houser, Alfred Houser and Bobby Houser; one sister, Vida Phelps. His parents were Harley Houser and Henrietta “Etta” Houser.
Funeral Services will be held February 16, at 1 p.m in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn will officiate. Interment will follow in the Edwards Cemetery, Benton.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5 p.m and 8 p.m. February 15, at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
