Wells Heath, Jr., 94, of Paducah, died Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.

Wells served in the Army Air Corps during World War II in England, Italy and Austria. He had a lifelong interest in baseball, both as a player and as a coach and supporter of his son and many other area players.

His occupations included being self-employed in the timber business, real estate, and retired as an investor.

Surviving are his children, Wells Heath III of Paducah, Dede Culp of Paducah, and Rebecca Cromwell of Benton; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Morgan Heath; a sister, Kathleen Heath Molloy; and his parents, Wells Heath Sr., and Mable Brooks Heath.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church Rev. Gregory Waldrop will officiate the memorial service. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
