Wanda Kathryn “Kay” Lanier, 82, died on Friday, Dec. 7, after a long illness.

She lived in Baton Rouge, La., and was born in Nortonville.

She is survived by husband Robert Lanier; daughter, Tamara Wallace; sons, Michael Woodward and Barry Lanier; sisters, June Alexander and Geneva Rodgers; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbetrice and Gertrude Key, and brothers Durwood and Garland Key.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 9 a.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Sandy Sherman. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
