Christian Fellowship and Marshall County swept three matches in volleyball play last week, winning all in straight sets.
Both teams had to survive tight early contests before putting the match away.
CFS improved to 4-1 in District 4 play with a victory over Calloway County Tuesday. The Lady Eagles won by 25-17, 25-15, 25-17 scores.
On Thursday, CFS was stretched to extra points in a victory over visiting Graves County. CFS won the first game 26-24 and the second 28-26, then clinched the match with a 25-22 win in the third game.
The Lady Eagles’ match scheduled Saturday against Portland Christian of Louisville was canceled.
CFS, now 11-3 overall, is idle until Sept. 11, when Murray visits.
At Murray on Thursday, the Lady Marshals moved their District 4 record to 3-2 with a win over the Lady Tigers.
Game 1 went back and forth until the Lady Marshals forged a 30-28 victory. They secured the match victory with wins by 25-15 and 25-9 scores.
Marshall County, 9-7 overall, is at home against Paducah Tilghman on Thursday in its only match of the week.
