Robert Chandler, Commander of American Legion Post 236, addressed the crowd and the parents of Airman Jonathan Threatt were on hand for a special presentation. Threatt, who was a member of the United States Air Force, died on September 30 following a shooting while stationed at Minot AFB in North Dakota. Threatt was a 2006 graduate of Marshall County High School.
