Hoop fest is underway tonight at Marshall County High School for the final session of what was to be a three-day event. Friday's games had to be canceled due to inclement weather. Here are results of earlier games.

Hopkinsville takes 79-60 win over Marshals

Top 10-ranked Hopkinsville overpowered Marshall County to wrap up the first of two Saturday sessions of the Hoop Fest.

Long, tall, quick and athletic, the Tigers dominated from the opening tip. They went up 20-9 in the first period and added only 1 point to their advantage in the second period. But the Tigers hit their stride in the second half, outscoring Marshall County 41-32 to pull away from a 38-28 halftime advantage.

Jaqualis Matlock led a balanced attack with 18 points for the Tigers, who opened their season with the victory.

Rentfrow took game honors with 20 points and eight rebounds for Marshall County. Mason Wooten added 10 points.

In Game 2 of the session, Huntington Prep defeated Atlanta Sports Academy 71-46.
