Mr. Troy Ray Jones, 62, of Gilbertsville passed away Thursday, August 22 at his home.

He was born Saturday, November 18, 1950 in Paducah. He was a diesel technician for 17 years at TAG Truck Center and honorably served his country as a diesel mechanic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the East Marshall Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Retha Pauline (Dillion) Jones of Gilbertsville, his father, Elza Ray Jones of Benton, four sones, Trent Jones of Bloomington, Ill., Mike Dillion of Mayfield, Bobby Mathis of Union City, Tenn., Shane Orange of Paducah and Tim Orange of Paducah, one brother, Keith Jones of Evansville, Ind., one sister, Lynessa Warren of Gilbertsville, 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his faithful friend, his Yorkie, Sundance Kid Jones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene (Drennan) Jones.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Lucas Nance officiated. Interment with military honors followed the service in the Moreland Cemetery in Gilbertsville.
