BENTON – Readers of the Tribune-Courier may now view the entire contents of the paper on-line via a new e-edition option.
The e-dition may be viewed free of charge until September 15 at www.tribunecourier.com. Readers are encouraged to visit the site between now and mid-September to review the option.
After September 1, 2011, you can subscribe to the e-edition for $35.00 per year. Readers wishing to receive both the hard copy of the paper and the edition may receive both for only $40.00 per year. Upon subscribing, readers are given a password to log into the site.
The Tribune’s new website which was launched two weeks ago features selected news, feature and sports stories in their entirety, obituaries, and announcements. In addition, important breaking news and updates are posted on an as-needed basis. This content is provided to readers at no charge.
“We are being very selective as to what “breaking news” constitutes on our web-site, said Venita Fritz, Tribune-Courier general manager. We do not want to bombard our readers with press releases and other items that are not of interest to the county as a whole. If we call it breaking news on our site, you can bet it will be something of major newsworthiness. And, as with our print edition we will take the time to verify the accuracy of any story we print before posting it to our site.”
“The e-edition option is a great service for both our readers and for advertisers,” said Fritz. Readers who spend part of their time away from the county will find it useful, as will students heading off to college who want to keep in touch with home.”
Fritz said all advertisements which appear in the paper’s print edition will also be included in the e-edition. “This will significantly expand the reach of our advertiser’s message,” she noted.
