Toy Barkley Thompson, 83, of Symsonia, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, at his home.

He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a niece, Rhonda Woods of Clinton Township, Mich.; a nephew, Don Thompson of Holland, Mich., and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Burnett Thompson; brother, Taz Thompson; and parents, Rector Thompson and Nola Lyles Thompson.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Symsonia Cemetery. Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn will officiate. There will be no visitation.
