Mr. Teddy Gene Alexander, 80, of Kirksey Community of Murray, died on March 20 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

He was of Nazarene Faith; He was a former Calloway County Deputy Sherrif and was a retired building contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Sheppard Alexander of Murray; five sons, Steven Alexander or Murray, Rick Alexander of Murray, Teddy Wayne Alexander of Fla., Marty Alexander of Benton, and Barry Alexander of Benton; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Novice Alexander Jr.; his parents, Novice Victor and Eva Bella Towery Alexander; two daughters-in-law, Marsha Alexander and Janie Alexander.

Funeral services were held March 23, in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Robert McKinney officiated. Burial followed in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
