She was a bookkeeper for several businesses including a hotel.
She was preceded in death by her father, Benson E. Britton.
Survivors include, her husband, Gene Johnson, of Calvert City; one daughter, Linda A. Johnson, Gilbertsville; one son Mike Johnson, of Benton; her mother, Blanche Britton, Ullin, Ill.; one brother, Irving Britton, Villa Ridge, Ill.; one sister, Kay Hale, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services for Shirley A. Johnson were held October 6, at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens, Villa Ridge, Ill. with Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
