A former resident of Gilberts-ville, he was a retired truck driver for Usher Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Lofton Bailey of Benton; his mother, Violet LaVelle VanHorn of Denton, Texas; daughters Carol Ripley of Benton, Patricia Lofton of Calvert City and Jamie Lee Oliver of Georgia; a son, James Oliver of Kevil; a brother, Tommy Ray Bailey of Benton; two sisters, Donna Lee Cardwell of Cape Giradeau, Mo., and Charlotte Mae Bailey of Lake Dallas, Texas; an aunt, Sally Kearse of Lancaster, Mo.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Roger Bailey; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Bailey and Amanda Marie Bailey; one grandchild and a brother, David Ralph Bailey.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home & Crematory. Elijah Balentine and Bob Cardwell officiated.
