Robert Lucian Ray, 80, of Boaz, died Thursday at Lourdes Hospital.

He was born in Paducah, Dec. 12, 1931 to Olis Clayton Ray and Virgie Lee Crawford Ray. He was a pipefitter and memver of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union No. 184. He was also a member of Gospel Mission.

He is survived by two children, Ronnie Ray of Paducah, and Connie Schneider of Louisville, a grandson, Ron Ray of Georgetown, two great-grandsons, Reed Landon Ray and Braydon Alexander Ray of Georgetown, a step-grandson, sister Velva Jean Bristoe of Possum Trot, brother Donnie E. Ray, Sr. of Noblesville, Ind. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Frances Eleta Spicer.
