He was born Sunday, July 3, 1927 in Memphis, Tenn., he was the son of the late Dr. Henry Hedden, M. D and the late Freda (Paterson) Hedden. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Zions Cause Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Boyd) Hedden of Benton, two daughters, Holly Hedden of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Sherrie Hedden of Cincinnati, Ohio, one brother, William “Bill” Hedden of Magnolia, Ark., two granddaughters, Amanda Moll of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Melanie Moll of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Norma (Petty) Hedden, one brother, Dr. Henry Hedden, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Dr. Charles Frazier will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington.
