Mr. Casey was a native of Centralia, Ill., and lived in Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky. He was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and worked as an operator at the Shawnee Steam Plant.
He was a member of the Sanctuary Church of God in Fairdealing and a U.S. Naval veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Johnson Casey of Benton; daughter Rebecca Bowlin of Mayfield; stepdaughter Andrea Sexton of Paducah; sons David Casey of Clarksville, Tenn., and Matthew Casey of Paducah; step-son Tyler Winslow of Cape Coral, Fla.; sisters Marjo C. Vancil, Annalee C. O’Donley and Elaine Oehlschlaeger, all of Paducah; brother Walter “Mike” Casey of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, T. Paul Casey, and parents Thorton Casey and Marjorie Sherwood Casey.
The funeral was Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr. The Rev. Albert Gaboriault officiated. Burial followed at the Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
