Rema Long Owen, of Louisville, died Oct. 21, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 2, 1920, a native of Benton, and a graduate of Murray State University. She was a retired teacher with Jefferson County Schools. Mrs. Owen was an avid bridge player, and a member of Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church, Woman’s Club of Louisville, Jefferson County and Kentucky Retired Teachers Association..



She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Owen, and her brother, Bob Long.



Mrs owen is survived by her son, Lewis Owen, sister, Judy Long Small, niece, Jan Small-Beth, nephews, George E. Long II, Bob T. Long Jr., David Long.



Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Chapel of the The Episcopal Church Home 7504 Westport Road (use Lyndon Lane entrance), Louisville, with burial in a Benton cemetery. Visitation to follow the service at The Episcopal Church Home. Arrangements under the direction of Pearson’s.
