Peggy Joanne Wallace, 79, of Benton, died July 9, at 11:10 p.m. at Lake Way Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benton. Born April 16, 1933 in Graves Co., she was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of the Sharpe Church of Christ.

She was the daughter of the late Lee Kaler and the late Clara (Shelton) Kaler.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Smith of Benton, KY., and Danny Smith of Covington, LA., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Five sisters, Betty Warthen of Monrovia, Ind., Mary Bell Beckman of Lone Oak, Ruth Sans Souci of Keokuk, Ia., June Mohler of Kaler., three brothers, Jack Kaler of Dogwood, Jerry Don Kaler of Reidland, and Mark Kaler of Lidgerwood, N.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jerrry T. Smith, her second husband, Howard Wallace, two brothers, Bud Kaler, Bill Kaler, three sisters, Marie Wyman, Emma Lou Boaz and Tootsie Reid.

Arrangements were handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton.

Lance Cordle officiated.

Interment followed in the Spring Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, Hickory, KY.
