Noma Lee (Smith) Housden, 96, of Symsonia passed away on Wednesday, August 14 at Baptist Health, Paducah. She was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
Born September 1, 1916 in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Jack S. Smith and the late Dovie Adeline Hodge Smith.
She is survived by her son, James E. Housden and wife, Janet of Symsonia, two sisters, Mary Agnes Walton of Paducah and Josephine Ashley of Grand Rivers; four grandchildren, Sherry Hack, Symsonia; Stephanie K. Riley and husband, Willie of Paducah; Susanne Merry, Symsonia; and Paul Housden, Port Orchard, Wash. Additionally, eight great-grandchildren, Joshua Hack and wife, Elaine; Jessica Eddington; Jordan Riley; Dillon Housden; Collin Housden; Cameron Merry; Roman Housden and Piper Housden. One great great-grandchild, Dakota Dixon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis C. Housden; one son Joe Paul Housden and one brother, Erie Smith of Symsonia.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at Collier Funeral Home. Bro. Jason Sharp, Bro. Randy McClure and Bro. Joe Daryl Thorn officiated. Interment followed at Benton Cemetery in Benton.
