Nell Griggs, 94, of Calvert City, died Tuesday, September 20, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie English, of Benton, Sue Tapp, of Calvert City; one son, Buddy Griggs, of Reidland; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Griggs Beasley; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stoney Griggs; parents, Rollie Poe and Lavanda (Armstrong) Poe; son, Tommy Griggs; sisters, Louise Peck, Clevie Peterson, Pauline Boswell; and brother, Martin Poe.

Funeral services were held at the Collier Funeral Chapel September 24, Elder Robert Chandler officiated.

Interment followed at New Hope Primitive Baptist Cemetery, in Benton.
