She was a seamstress and retired from Meritt Clothing in Mayfield and was a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy (Stellwagen) Yates of Mayfield; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oah Franklin “O.F.” Roach and Ruby Elizabeth (Creason) Roach; her husband, Lawrence Edward Yates; her son, Franklin Eugene Yates; one daughter, Delores Ann Yates; and one sister, Lucille Roach.
Funeral services were held at McKendree Cemetery on Saturday, February 11. Rev. Richard Dowdy officiated.
Interment followed in the McKendree Cemetery, Mayfield.
