John D. Sumter 38, of Louisville, was transported via helicopter from the scene of a two-vehicle collision Thursday on US Highway 68 after a truck collided with a motorcycle near Aurora Bar-B-Que at about 3 p.m.

According to reports, Sumter was traveling northwest on US 68 E on his motorcycle. Erica L. Bivins, 23, of Crofton, was pulling out of a parking lot and pulled out in front of Sumter, where the vehicles collided. Further details have not been released. Emergency responders secured the scene while waiting for PHI Air Medical Services to transport the motorcycle driver to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for undetermined injuries.
