He is survived by his wife, Bobbie J. Gipson Higgins of Benton; one daughter, Kathy Chance Michael of Benton; two grandchildren, Craig Clark and William Michael Chance; one great-grandchild, Garrett Clark; and one sister, Sylvia Colson of Benton.
He was preceded in death by one son, Louis Darnall; one brother, Jim Higgins; six sisters, Geneva Travis, Ruby Winters, Lee Scott, Maybelline West, Maudeline Vick and May Sue Jones and his parents, Lyman Higgins and Sarah Price Higgins.
A Private visitation and private funeral service were held at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial was held in the Briensburg Cemetery.
