Born Wednesday, April 8, 1925, in Hardin, she was the daughter of the late Will Putman and the late Mima (McGregor) Putman. She was a homemaker and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Benton.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny Jones, wife Jean, Benton, and Jackson Jones, wife Pat, Metropolis, Ill.; one daughter, Kay McKibben, husband Greg, Murray; four grandchildren, Bill McKibben, Murray, Kristopher Jones, Lindsay Ferrell and Courtney Clark, all of Metropolis, Ill.; five great-grandchildren, Hannah McKibben, Murray, Attie Jones, Brandon Rennie,, Andrew Rennie and Keaton Clark, all of Metropolis, Ill.
Also surviving are her caregivers, Gulsen Blaine, Tammie Dickey and Stephanie Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cletus “Bounce” Jones; by a son, Stanley Jones; a brother, Joe Putman and two sisters, Magdaliene Miller and Anna Ruth Vance.
A funeral service was held Monday, April 29, in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Mark Stevens officiated. Interment followed the service in the Pace Cemetery, Hardin.
