PADUCAH – Marshall County finished second in the Paducah Tilghman Invitational swim meet Dec. 2 at the Paducah Athletic Club pool.

The Marshal boys took second and the Lady Marshal swimmers were fourth. McCracken County swept boys, girls and overall team titles.

Senior Grant Park placed third in the 200 individual medley. His time of 2 minutes, 24.57 seconds erased the school record set by his teammate, Austin Gordon, last year.

Jones had a third in the 100 breaststroke.

For the girls, Allie Pearson’s third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke was the top individual finish.

Pearson teamed with Carson Morris, Karson Johnson and Shelbi Spencer to take third in the 200 freestyle relay.

The next meet is today against Hopkins County Central and Madisonville-North Hopkins at the Hopkins County Family YMCA in Madisonville. The team also swims in the Tiger-Laker Invitational Saturday at Murray State’s Wellness Center pool.
