Lula Bel White, 95, of Benton, died January 30, at Lakeway Nursing and Rehab in Benton. She was a member of Benton Church of Christ. Mrs. White was a seamstress.

She also played a key role in the establishment of the Marshall County Exceptional School.

She is survived by two sons, Forrest Gale White, Lewisburg, Tenn., James Thomas White, Benton; brother, Ben Haley, Hardin; five grand children; and one great-grand child.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James White; one daughter; her parents, John Haley and Lizzie (Crosby) Haley; four brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral service were held at Collier Funeral Chapel on February 4, Travis Terrell officiating.

Interment followed at Benton Cemetery, in Benton.
