She is survived her husband, James Mathis of Benton; son, Russell Palmer of Benton; step sons; daughter, Debbie Smith of Benton; a step daughter; brother, Harold Cox of Mayfield; sister, Hesta Lyles of Benton; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, Eulos and Pauline (McCallister) Cox and her first husband, Jewel Palmer.
Funeral services were held November 25, in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton.Bro. Joe Daryl Thorn officiated.
Interment followed in the Lyles Cemetery.
