Mrs. Louise (Stokes) Jones, 95 of Calvert City, passed away Friday, March 22, at 11:10 p.m at the Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Born Thursday, January 24, 1918, in Marshall County, she was a homemaker and a member of Altona Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Rickie Jones of Reidland and Gurvey Jones of Calvert City; four daughters, Dixie Pratt of Calvert City, Sylvia Hill, Sue Smiddy and Louellen Rundles, all of Benton; one brother, Clarence Newton of Benton; two sisters, Alberta Henson and Laura Walston, both of Benton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Stokes and Suzie (Alsup) Stokes; her stepmother, Rosie (Holland) Stokes; her husband, Wesley Jones, who passed away in December of 1989; one daughter, Darlene Jones; one son, Jacky Jones; one grandson, David Sauvage; four brothers, Roy Alsup, Chester Ford, James Newton and Albert Stokes Jr.; and three sisters, Leona Goodman, Irene Ramage and Anna Starks.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton. Rev. Roger Rice will officiate. Interment will follow in the Calvert City Cemetery.
