He served in World War II with the United States Army. He was a pipefitter and member of the Plumbers and Pipefitter Union Local #184.
He is survived by one sister, Shirley Crippin of Benton; and one brother, Sam Fooks of Benton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith Fooks; five sisters, Marie Story, Bertha Fooks, Magdaline Fooks, Mary Alice Fooks and Leoda Riley; two brothers, Bill Fooks and Courtney Fooks. His parents were Sam A. Fooks and Nellie Harper Fooks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 16, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Elder Danny Ferrell will officiate and burial with Military Rites will follow in the Fooks Cemetery.
