Louie Lee Groves, 81, Benton, died Wednesday, Oct. 31 at his home in Benton.

He was retired from Suburban Gas. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

He honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient.

He was the son of Lex Groves and the late Amy (Edwards) Groves.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley (Crowley) Groves, Benton, two sons, Leslie Groves and Lyndall Groves, both of Benton, two sisters, Marjorene Pace and Dianna McDougal, both of Benton, and three grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collier Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Donald Jackson, Murray Riley, and David Myers officiated.

Interment followed at New Edwards Cemetery, Benton.

Visitation was held between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at Collier Funeral Home.
