She was a member of Schneidman Road Baptist Church in Paducah. She and her husband owned and operated Tapscott’s Restaurant in Paducah.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Tapscott; one daughter, Yvonne Reed of Phoenix, Ariz.; three sons, Alton Bowerman of West Paducah, Johnny Bowerman of Phoenix, Ariz. and Ricky Tapscott of Mechanicstown, Ohio; one sister, Shelby Jackson of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Chancey Langston of Benton, Jerry Langston of Melber and Frank Langston of Paducah; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers. Her parents were Toy and Opal Dodge Langston.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Cruse officiating. Private interment will take place Wednesday at Allcock Cemetery.
