PADUCAH – Marshall County rolled to its fourth straight victory and set up a showdown for the top seed in the Fourth District with a 61-34 thumping of Community Christian in girls’ high school basketball action Tuesday night.

The Lady Marshals led all the way from an 8-0 advantage, holding the Lady Warriors scoreless for almost the first three minutes of the game and steadily increasing their lead to the finish.

Allie York scored 17 and Taylor Meadows 10 for Marshall County, which takes a 19-8 record against visiting Calloway County Friday night. Both teams are 4-1 in district play, Calloway’s loss coming to Murray and Marshall’s defeat in overtime at the hands of Calloway.

The winner of Friday night’s game will get the top seed and will play CCA in the first round of the district tournament. The loser will get the No. 2 seed and will meet No. 3 seed Murray.
