He was the son of the late Ben Wells and the late Carrie Pearl Lee (McPherson) Wells. He is also preceded in death by one brother William Harrison Johnson and one sister Chlodine Ross.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Elworthy) Wells of Waterloo, Ind., two step sons: Timothy Schohl of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Eric Williams of Waterloo, Ind., one sister: Phyllis Blackwell of Benton and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
