He was retired from Bellsouth and and owner of Flemco Electric. He was president of Communi-cations Workers of America Local 3315 and a member of Hardin Baptist Church.
Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jayne Nicholson Fleming; daughters Becky Johnson and Laurie Jayne Hilbrecht of Fairdealing and Mary Ellen Foley of Symsonia; brother Bill Hurley Fleming of Fairdealing; sister Gloria Gene Sierra of Fairdealing; and grandchildren Austin C. Johnson, Blake M. Johnson, Grant T. Johnson, Hailey L. Johnson, Sara N. Hilbrecht, M. David Hilbrech, John Phillip Foley and Thomas B. Foley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Frances Carpenter and Eugene Thomas Fleming, and a brother, Eugene Thomas Fleming Jr.
A celebration of life was held Dec. 27 at Collier Funeral Home.
The funeral was Friday, Dec. 28. Brother Ricky Cunningham, pastor of Hardin Baptist Church, officiated.
