He was a member of the Altona Baptist Church for 40 years, and retired from the McJunkin Corporation in Calvert City after 28 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Reda Mullen Watkins of King Creek, his daughter Secret York and her husband Kent of Benton; his son, Brock Watkins and his wife Jessica of Calvert City, three grandsons, Kasey York and his wife Kandi, Brent Watkins and Corey York all of Benton,two great granddaughters, Kennedy York and Kiera Dunham both of Benton, and a soon to be great grandson, Konnor York, two brothers, Brad Watkins and Kelly Watkins both of Paducah, five sisters, Ina Watkins, Alecia Hayden, Jane Reynolds, Frances Scott and Paula Edwards all of Paducah, his father-in-law Euel Mullen and his wife Linda of Calvert City, and two uncles, Rudell Noles and his wife Teannie and Holland Stafford all of Calvert City.
He was preceded in death by his father Ray Junior Watkins; his mother Inez Stafford Watkins; grandparents, Alec and Jeannie Stafford; and his mother-in-law, Frances Mullen.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Altona Baptist Church, where Bro. Roger Rice and Bro. Bob Morrison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hardin Baptist Church Cemetery in Hardin.
