Mr. James Robert Thompson, 82, Benton, Kentucky died on Monday, Jan. 14, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Friday, February 21, 1930 in Graves Co., he was the son of the late Crete Thompson and the late Halline (Park) Thompson. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Marie (Lemke) Thompson.

He was retired from the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a retired supervisor for Cadillac Corporation.

Surviving are daughters, Michele Howard, husband John, of Paducah, and Pamela Grifka, husband Dan, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; grandchildren, Christopher Grifka, Jason Grifka, Erica Howard and great-grandchildren, Jude Grifka and Alice Grifka.

A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 18 at Collier Funeral Chapel. Father Anthoni Ottagan officiated.

Interment will be held at a later date in the St. Henry’s Cemetery, Aurora.
