James Harrison “Jim” Love, 68, of Hopkinsville died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Love was a native of Elgin, Ill., and worked in the news department at WHOP Radio in Hopkinsville.
He was the son of James Thomas and Minnie Lue Harrison Love and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Cherryll Lamb Love; a son, Bobby Love of Benton; daughters Amy Love Colley and Jennifer Love Folz, both of Hopkinsville; sister Ann Love Schneider of Woodstock, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Love Haugaard.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with speakers to include Rev. Ron Hicks, Mike Chadwell, Mike Foster, Ann Petrie and Dale Mitchell.
Burial with military honors will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
