He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired painter for Pennwalt in Calvert City, and he attended Lone Oak Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anita Manning; his son James Keith Manning of Memphis Tenn.; one nephew and one great niece.
He was preceded in death by his mother Deloris Harrison Rhodes; his step father Charles H. Rhodes; sister Shirley Beauchamp and brother Ralph Manning.
A funeral service for Mr. Manning was held Friday Feb. 1 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Paul Wingfield officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
