He was a maintence mechanic, a member of the Calvert City Eagle’s club and a member of the Moose Lodge in Mayfield.
He survived by three sons, Bill Houghtby of Mt. Carol, Ill.; Mike Houghtby of Clear Springs; Larry Houghtby of Waterman, Ill.; two daughters, Ellen Knight of Atlanta, Ga.; Leona Feldts of Fulton; and one sister, Edna Shields of Sycamore, Ill.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Houghtby; his parents, Ezra and Ada Houghtby; two brothers and two sisters.
Private family memorical services will be held at a later date. Brown funeral home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
