He was a World War II veteran, honorably serving in the U.S. Navy and was a retired factory worker.
He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Spindleman of Hardin and Barbara Cornwell of Hardin; one sister, Reba Dell Schroader of Dexter; one brother, Harold Hopkins, Jr. of Murray; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Johnson) Hopkins; two sisters; and five brothers.His parents were Stanley Hopkins and Mary Belle (Peeler) Hopkins.
Graveside Funeral services were held June 13, in the Jeffrey Cemetery, Dexter. Hon. Mike Miller officiated
Interment followed in the Jeffrey Cemetery, in Dexter.
