Garland Lewis Wyatt, 77, of Benton passed away at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 in Paducah.

He was a member of the Calvert City United Methodist Church. He retired from the Kroger Company in 1998 where he was employed for 44 years and 8 months. The last 33 years he was a store manager in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Kittle Wyatt of Benton; his daughters, Elizabeth Carol Abts and husband Eric of Birmingham, Ala., and Stacy Lynn Staten and husband John of Benton; his grandchildren, MacKenzie Carol Abts, Emelia Mae Abts and Joshua Wyatt Abts all of Birmingham, AL; Chase Lee Paul Staten and Austion Thomas Lewis Staten both of Benton; his sister, Shirley Montgomery of Louisville; several nieces and nephews of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Ruth Homeister. His parents were Albert Benton Wyatt and Freda Mae Kendall Wyatt.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
